Login¶
The login screen is the first screen that displays when the user loads VELA.
The Login screen contains the following elements:
- Header — Header with Customer Service information and also the Language drop-down with the supported languages that the user can use to navigate through the application.
- Username, Email, or Mobile # field
- Password field
- Login button, which is disabled by default
- Forgot username? link
- Forgot password? link
- Switch to Customer Portal link
In order to log in to the application, a user must enter his or her correct username, email, or mobile number and password and click the Login button.
Note
The application supports five languages: English-US, French-CA, Portuguese-BR, Spanish-MX, and German-DE.
Merchant User, Merchant Admin, and System Admin role users will be using the VELA AdminUI.
Temporary Locking
The user profiles can be temporarily locked if they enter incorrect password while logging in to the application.
Instead of locking the User permanently after X (based on the Merchant level configuration) number of invalid attempts and waiting to be released by the Admin, after X number of invalid attempts, the User instead will be temporarily locked in the following sequence: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, & 3 hours.
The messages display as below for the above scenarios.
After it reaches the 3-hour interval window, it will be permanently locked where the Admin has to release the lock. During the Temporary Locking window, the Admin can unlock the User status at any time.
