Re-Authorization
When a channel associated with the user has PlugN’Pay processor's payment methods, then the Make A Payment->Confirmation page looks slightly different than regular workflow. The Payment can be re-authorized with a lesser amount until settled.
On the Payment Confirmation or the Transaction Detail page, the user can see the Re-auth button as follows:
The Admin user can lower the Auth amount by clicking on Re-Auth button on the Transaction Detail/Payment Confirmation page.
Clicking upon the Re-Auth link, the user is taken to the Re-Authorize Transaction page and contains the following elements:
Payment Information — Payment Information section with the following elements:
1. * IRe-Auth Amount — Field to enter the Re-Auth amount.
2. * Currency — Drop-down with the currency used for the original Auth transaction being disabled.
3. * Memo — Field to enter any text information related to the Re-Auth.
4. Cancel — Button when clicked cancels the process and takes the user to the Transaction Detail page.
5. Review — Button whcih gets enabled after all the required fields are filled out.
Note
The Re-Auth Amount must be less than Original Pre-Authorization Amount.
Clicking upon Review button, the user is taken to the Review Re-Authorization page with the values preserved.
- Edit — Button when clicked takes the user back to the Re-Authorization Transaction page with preserved values and the user can edit the details.
- Confirm — Button when clicked confirms the incremental auth.
Clicking upon the Confirm button, the user is taken to the Confirmation page where the transaction details are displayed with the Re-Auth amount.
The original Transaction Detail page displays with the Original Amount and the Total Authorization Amount.
